JOB SUMMARY The Network Engineer IV reports to the Sr. Director, Information Technology, and implements, supports, and monitors the technical infrastructure of a multi subsidiary environment. Establishes new serversarchitecturesplatformsnetworks independently, or with the aid and support of technical consultants as necessary. Resolves end user requests installs, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains server hardware and networking equipment to ensure optimal system performance. Performs audits for regulatory, corporate, and departmental compliance. Able to install, troubleshoot, and maintain corporate software applications (with vendorconsultants if necessary). Able to perform ISSMISSO duties as called upon to do so. Play a central role in IT Security. Create enforce departmental corporate policy. Subject matter expert in networking, server infrastructure, particular software packages, or security. RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate and prioritize incoming telephone, email, and direct requests from employees for technology assistance on hardware, software, or telecommunication equipment Assess nature of technical issues to determine appropriate actions Disseminate information on any problems or potential delays Disseminate departmental information to include problems, resolutions, general information Recommend and implement new technical solutions Support system and user administration for the entire organization Provide end-to-end support of a network supporting local and remote users Manage deployment, administration, and support for corporate serversdesktops Identify and install appropriate upgrades, patches, drivers, etc. Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization Ensure software license compliance and documentation Perform hands-on fixes, including softwarehardware install and upgrade, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications Perform advanced troubleshooting and remediation Follow strict change management guidelines, thus ensuring CIA (Confidentiality, Integrity, Assurance) Able to understand, document, and create PowerShell scripts for AD, Exchange, SharePoint Additional Special projects and other duties as assigned. All employees are expected to be in compliance with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY No direct reports but may be called upon to mentor (or bring up to speed) more junior department workers EDUCATION B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar technical field, or equivalent experience EXPERIENCE Experience working with U.S. Military, Government, or Defense Contractors preferred Experience working within, or administering, classified computing environments preferred 10-14 years of working experience ADDITIONAL SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS Able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance Willing and able to work evenings and weekends Knowledgeable of Industry IT Security principles and practices Experienced with TCPIP networking to include switches, routers and firewalls Microsoft Active Directory Microsoft Exchange Server Microsoft SharePoint Server Symantec Enterprise Vault Epicor VMware ESXESXi ArcServe Backup ArcServe D2D Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft IIS Websense RSA Security Storage Area Networks Network Attached Storage Application license servers Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, AIKMDT PC imaging strategies AudioVisual and VTC equipment Ability and willingness to continually learn new hardware and software applications
