Dynamis is looking for a Junior Military Analyst to conduct research on military weapon systems and orders of battle, provide subject matter expertise on military capabilities, and support database development and wargaming efforts for OSD/Net Assessment.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in military weapon systems and orders of battle. The ideal candidate will also be able to work as part of a multi-functional team, performing analysis and wargaming of emerging and future military capabilities for senior-level government officials. Familiarity with leveraging geospatial information systems, computer wargaming and visualization systems, and professional wargaming is desired.
ResponsibilitiesResearch, collect, analyze and analyze data for historical, current and future US and threat military capabilities.Build detailed gamebooks consisting of weapon systems characteristics & performance and orders of battle.Provide in-game subject matter expertise on future US and threat military capabilities.Assist with wargame preparation, notetaking and pre- and post-game analysis as required.Manage tasks with minimal supervision and support teams in accomplishing high priority projects.Support other Dynamis customers as needed.
RequirementsU.S. citizenshipAn active TS/SCI clearanceB.A. in international relations, history, operations research, political science, security studies, strategic studies or related field and 0-2 years of relevant experience; or High School/GED with 5 years of relevant experienceKnowledge of naval, air and space warfare, including weapon systems, doctrine, concepts of operation and employment, and tactics.Familiarity with professional wargaming, operational or strategic-level commercial wargaming, and/or geospatial information and visualization systems is a plus. Knowledge of land, information and/or cyber warfare is a plus.
